Updated: Jan 18, 2019

Penydarren BGC U14s make a debutant appearance in the South Wales FA Junior Cup and they have been awarded a home draw to Margam AFC which will take place this Saturday at The Bont Playing Fields.

The U14s have made a great strong start to the season and currently sit 4th in the Taff Ely Rhymney Valley Football league U14s Division. Julian Long’s side have been very unlucky on some occasion this season but are eager to get their hands on some silverware this season.

South Wales FA Boys Under-14 Cup

This competition started life as the Tesco Junior Cup in 2006/07 for under-13's and with the withdrawal of Tesco, the age group was changed to under-14 at the start of the 2011/12 season. As with the under-16 Junior Cup, the eight junior leagues each nominate two teams who are then drawn on a straight knockout with teams from the same league being kept apart in the first round of the draw.
