A trip to the capital awaits for Kerry Mullins’ sides as they face Grange Albion in the last 16 of the FAW Trophy at Coronation Park on Saturday afternoon.
Penydarren come into the game on the back of a comprehensive 3-0 victory over AFC Porth last weekend in the Welsh Football League. Goals coming from Joshua Brogden and Christopher Colvin-Owen. Meanwhile the hosts Grange Albion come into the game on the back of a 3-1 home defeat to Cefn Cribwr in the South Wales Alliance League.
The hosts Grange Albion currently sit eleventh in the South Wales Alliance League with 11 points. There is exactly 21 places separating the two sides going into the game on Saturday afternoon with Penydarren BGC being the strong favourites as they sit a league higher than the Cardiff based side. The last time the both sides met saw Penydarren BGC come out 5-1 winners at Coronation Park back in April last year with goals coming from Christopher Colvin-Owen and a double from Joshua Brogden and Asa Lloyd which rounded off a comfortable victory for Kerry Mullins' side in the South Wales Alliance League.
